There’s something about stepping off a plane in the middle of winter and being greeted by warm, salty air that feels like magic. For my husband, my two little girls, and I, this ritual has become more than just an annual vacation, it’s a way of celebrating togetherness, reconnecting with each other, and being reminded of what really matters.Every year, when the cold and grey of Canadian winters begin to settle into our bones, we pack our bags and head south to an all-inclusive resort by the beach. It’s not about luxury for us. It’s about freedom, family, and the joy that comes from trading snow boots for flip-flops and busy schedules for long days in the sun.Travel has always had a way of bringing people closer together. Away from the routines of school, work, and endless responsibilities, something softens. The noise fades.
